Job summary

WestRock Company, Inc. in Hicksville, NY seeks a General Manager to lead the full site operations, including strategy, P&L, safety, quality, and customer service. You will drive growth, build a high-performing team, and create a culture of accountability aligned with business priorities.

The role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in manufacturing management, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable results at the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or management discipline strongly preferred with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in operations and manufacturing management, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ printing experience.
• Proven manufacturing management excellence with a track record of meeting production, quality and cost objectives in a safe environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; strategic in decision making.
• Solid planning and budgeting skills across departmental needs.
• Demonstrated leadership to develop teams, delegate effectively, and build collaboration.
• Ability to connect commercial growth goals with operational strategy and financial outcomes.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Radius manufacturing and financial systems experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns overall site performance and drives business growth by aligning commercial priorities, customer expectations, and operational execution.
• Develops and executes operating plans that support revenue growth, margin expansion, EBITDA, cost discipline, and customer service goals.
• Leads business reviews using KPIs to evaluate performance and drive corrective action across safety, quality, service, productivity, cost and finances.
• Builds and leads an operations leadership team with clear accountability and succession planning.
• Sets clear expectations and measurable performance objectives tied to site KPIs and business priorities.
• Partners cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, HR, and Operational Excellence.
