Job summary

Snap-on Tools is seeking a capable Finance professional to oversee accounting, reporting, cycle counting, SOX compliance and financial planning for our plant. You will manage payroll, lead a staff of 2–8, and partner with management to improve plant financial performance.

The role requires a B.S./B.A. in finance or accounting, 5–7 years of experience, and preferably CPA/MBA. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. with a finance/accounting specialization.
• 5–7 years of practical financial work experience.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Proficient in general accounting, cost accounting, purchasing, and payroll policies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all daily accounting operations are running properly.
• Close financial month timely and accurately.
• Provide clear and accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly plant financial performance reporting.
• Ensure financial account reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.
• Present balance sheet and account reconciliations during quarterly accounting reviews.
• Ensure SOX compliance throughout plant organization.
• Run inventory cycle count program to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform formal and adhoc financial analysis to support the business.
• Identify, implement, and track RCI opportunities to improve plant financial performance.
• Develop and track adherence to annual, quarterly, and monthly financial forecasts.
• Direct payroll activities to ensure proper calculation of wages, deductions & taxes.
