Job summary

Huhtamaki in Waterville, ME is seeking a Plant Controller to lead the site's financial performance, partnering with plant and Finance leaders to drive cost, capital, and operating improvements. You will own budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls, and you will develop the plant Finance team while advancing automation and data-driven decision making.

This role requires strong ERP and Excel skills, experience in manufacturing finance, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing operations finance or accounting leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in costing, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, controls, and capital evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leaders to develop financial and operational plans.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly performance reviews, and reporting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Analyze labor, material usage, yield, scrap, downtime, productivity, inventory, and other operating drivers.
• Provide actionable insights that improve cost competitiveness, working capital, and operating performance.
• Maintain effective internal controls and compliance with Huhtamaki accounting policies and reporting standards.
