Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Plant Controller to support Hillcrest, Gillespie, and Gilliland operations in Simpsonville, SC. You will lead the period-end close, budgeting, costing, and internal controls to ensure accurate reporting and cost discipline.

This role collaborates with the Advanced Finance Leader and Plant Manager, overseeing inventory, capital spending, and asset management while enabling manufacturing excellence and financial stewardship with limited travel to Spartanburg

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• CPA/CMA or manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the period-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Apply consistent financial practices across plant operations, budgeting, costing, and forecasting.
• Maintain internal control environment with timely reconciliations and governance compliance.
• Drive profitability, ROIC, cost reductions, and performance improvements.
• Oversee major capital and expense spending and asset management.
• Lead inventory and cycle counts and related clearings.
• Analyze variances and translate findings for the Plant Manager and partners.
• Provide leadership to finance administrative staff.
