Job summary

Godshall Recruiting is seeking a manufacturing finance professional to lead cost accounting, variance reporting, and cost controls in a fast-paced plant environment in Easley, SC. You will partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to improve profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include budgeting/forecasting support, inventory valuation and control, and developing insights through Excel-based modeling and ERP data from SAP/Oracle/D365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Proven cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cost structures, and inventory accounting.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, D365, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills with the ability to influence decision-making across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting activities, including cost analysis, variance reporting, and manufacturing cost controls.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes while monitoring performance against financial targets.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses that provide insight into costs, operational performance, and improvement opportunities.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and control processes to ensure accuracy and optimize inventory performance.
• Partner with production, procurement, and engineering teams to identify cost drivers and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts by evaluating accounting processes, strengthening controls, and enhancing reporting capabilities.
