Corning Hemlock, MI-based Solar division seeks a Plant Controller to lead the finance function and drive plant objectives through rigorous analysis and cost management.

You will close books monthly, manage asset and inventory, budget and forecast, and deliver ROI-focused capital reviews while ensuring US GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent required.
• 10+ years manufacturing or relevant experience; cost accounting preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and general ledger systems; forecasting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function as Plant Controller and key decision maker.
• Close books monthly, analyze results, publish plant period reports.
• Manage fixed assets, inventory valuation, product costing, budgeting, forecasting.
• Identify cost problems, perform root cause analysis, drive solutions.
• Drive finance process improvements and SOPs to reduce complexity.
• Support Solar Wafer divisional needs and Corning Finance functions.
• Prepare annual budget and capital investments with ROI/IRR/payback.
• Maintain SOX, US GAAP compliance and corporate accounting policies.
