Magna Powertrain in Indiana seeks an experienced accounting leader to manage plant accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets, with responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

You will lead budgeting and forecasting, cost accounting, variance analysis, and internal controls, partner with operations and corporate teams to drive efficiency and compliant reporting across the plant.

Qualifications

• Candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, incl. 3+ years in manufacturing or automotive.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsabilités

• Oversee plant accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and plant performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
