Location: Goodlettsville, TN; Bowling Green, KY; Evansville, IN; Indianapolis, IN; Louisville, KY

Join Airgas as a Plant Field Service Technician

Be a crucial part of our team responsible for servicing bulk industrial and medical gas delivery and filling systems. Ensure the safe operation of equipment, perform repairs, and maintain cryogenic pumps and cylinder filling systems, adhering to standards such as OSHA, FDA, ISO, and Airgas protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Service cryogenic bulk installations and filling systems at Airgas facilities.
  2. Respond to emergencies, supporting critical operations.
  3. Repair cylinder filling systems and pressure reduction equipment related to bulk delivery systems.
  4. Conduct electrical system repairs and analyses associated with cryogenic installations.
  5. Calculate vaporizer sizes and ensure proper equipment identification.
  6. Install piping systems following industry standards and SOPs.
  7. Perform site surveys and obtain permits before work.
  8. Conduct operational due diligence during acquisitions and inspections.
  9. Maintain accurate equipment records and conduct preventative maintenance.
  10. Uphold safety policies and procedures.
  11. Manage spare parts inventory and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or welding is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a Certified Brazer Certificate within 30 days.
  • Potential to obtain Medical Installation Certification within 120 days.
  • Experience with equipment, pressure piping, compressors, troubleshooting systems.
  • Knowledge of welding and brazing, especially silver brazing.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in safety documentation and mathematical calculations.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining information clearly.
  • Ability to manage time, set goals, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Judgment, initiative, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with customers and handling proprietary info.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team-oriented.
  • Physical ability to lift 25-75 lbs, perform physical maneuvers, and work outdoors in various temperatures.
  • Visual acuity for close and distant vision, color perception, and focus.
  • Willingness to work overtime, travel locally and overnight as needed.
