Job summary

Dow is seeking a Plant Operator in the United States (Kentucky). You will operate assigned plant areas, monitor processes, and maintain safety and discipline while supporting the shift team to deliver high-quality silicones.

You will mentor less experienced operators and participate in investigations to drive improvements. The role emphasizes safe, reliable, and efficient operations, with opportunities to develop technical skills, work rotating shifts, and contribute to continuous process

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; plus an Associate degree or higher in Applied Science.
• 2+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of relevant military experience.
• Proficiency in computers to perform job tasks.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able and willing to do rotating shift work.
• Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follows Operating Discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operates and field checks process equipment; monitors process conditions and KPIs; makes decisions to achieve goals.
• Performs scheduled operational tasks and resolves unplanned events.
• Works with shift teams to balance workload and meet due dates.
• Conducts effective shift relief and handoffs.
• Maintains qualifications and completes training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentors and trains new and existing operations personnel.
• Performs Immediate Response activities and participates in Root Cause Investigations.
• Tracks KPIs and identifies improvement opportunities; uses knowledge to improve plant performance.
• Performs Autonomous Maintenance including minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
