Job summary

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. Company is seeking a Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineer to lead the design, planning, and execution of facility construction projects across North America, including Georgetown, KY; San Antonio, TX; Ann Arbor, MI; San Jose, CA; and sites in Mexico.

You’ll drive safety, schedule, and cost performance while supporting manufacturing and R&D operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial building design and construction.
• 2+ years’ project engineering or project management experience.
• Experience with industrial mechanical systems (piping, chilled water, HVAC, utilities).
• Experience with industrial electrical systems (switchgear, power distribution, 480VAC+).
• Experience with controls systems (PLCs, BMS, VFDs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel up to 80% within the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and project management activities for facility construction, expansion, renovation, and infrastructure projects across North America.
• Develop and review design criteria for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing facilities on building design and improvements.
• Support industrial building systems including HVAC, compressed air, chillers, and utilities.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety with stakeholders.
• Prepare project status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
