Job summary

Toyota North America’s Plant Engineering Department seeks a Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineer to lead the design, planning and execution of facility construction projects across North America, including Georgetown, KY.

You will develop design criteria for civil, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, support manufacturing, R&D, logistics and distribution, and manage scope, budget and schedules while coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology or related technical field.
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial building design and construction.
• 2+ years’ project engineering or project management experience.
• Experience with industrial mechanical systems (piping, chilled water, HVAC, utilities).
• Experience with industrial electrical systems (switchgear, 480VAC+).
• Controls systems experience (PLCs, BMS, VFDs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and project management for facility construction, expansion, renovation, and infrastructure projects across North America.
• Develop and review design criteria for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Provide technical support for building design and facility infrastructure improvements.
• Advise on industrial building systems including HVAC, compressed air, chillers, and utilities.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare status reports and communicate progress and recommendations to stakeholders.
