POET is seeking a Plant Engineering Intern to collaborate with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager in Emmetsburg, IA, to maximize production efficiency and refine maintenance programs. This on-site internship offers exposure to process optimization, data analysis, and environmental compliance.

Ideal candidates are seniors or juniors pursuing Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering, able to work multiple shifts, and proficient with Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pursuing a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager to analyze operations and enhance maintenance programs.
• Assist in development of predictive and preventative maintenance plans.
• Support data collection, analysis, and optimization of plant processes.
• Engage with vendors and internal teams to improve procedures and safety.
