Toyo Tire North America (Toyo Tire NA) is seeking a mechanical engineering co-op intern to support the Engineering Department under supervision from the Mechanical Engineering Team. The role focuses on applying engineered solutions to improve manufacturing equipment productivity and reliability.

You will create and modify 2-D drawings and 3-D models, research available components, and help implement prototype modifications.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited B.E. or Engineering Technology program.
• Accepted into the co-operative education program of the college or university.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributes value-added work by applying engineered solutions to improve productivity and reliability of manufacturing equipment.
• Creates and modifies 2-D drawings and 3-D models of machine components; researches commercially available parts.
• Interfaces with engineers on design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are process-capable, available, reliable and sustainable.
• Assignments will increase in complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and experience.
