Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Elgin, IL is seeking a healthcare facilities maintenance professional to manage and repair hospital equipment, ensure a safe working environment, and maintain building systems.

The role covers mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance and medical gas systems; candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills, read schematics/blueprints, and hold a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate logs on all equipment and ensures a safe working environment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment across mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance and medical gas systems.
• Maintains the building and its related systems.

Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Maintains the building and its related systems. Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering
