Job summary
Mondi is seeking a Plant Electrical Engineer to provide hands-on electrical, electronic, and controls support for our manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on troubleshooting, process improvement, and safety compliance in a fast-paced packaging and paper operation.
You will program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems, while supporting preventive maintenance and capital projects to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
- 3+ years of electrical engineering, controls, or industrial automation in manufacturing preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery, power distribution, drives, and control systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA/NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout practices is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and controls issues affecting production machinery and building systems.
- Provide technical support during equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and networks.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Lead or support capital projects from scoping to commissioning and closeout.
