Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Hunt Valley, MD seeks an Electrical Electronics Technician for A shift (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm) reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, PLCs/HMIs, drives, and field devices on production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, completing work orders, and coordinating with outside contractors in a high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• AA degree or completion of an approved apprenticeship in industrial electrical maintenance
• 3-5 years plant maintenance experience
• Ability to develop control logic and troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments
• Proficient with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscope, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Windows and of process/programmable controllers and AC/DC drives
• Ability to read instrument drawings and NEC knowledge

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical trouble calls on production/process equipment and utility breakdowns
• Diagnose, repair and test industrial equipment including power service, motor starters and PLC/HMI controls
• Troubleshoot networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, DH+), field devices, sensors and drives
• Perform preventive and general maintenance on production and facilities equipment
• Document tests, complete work orders and update procedures
• Train others to conduct tests and work with outside contractors as needed

Education

AA or equivalent in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology

5-7 years direct applicable experience
