Job summary

Astro Shapes LLC is seeking an EHS Specialist to provide day-to-day, hands-on environmental, health, and safety support at the plant level. You will be the front line of the EHS program — conducting inspections, responding to incidents, supporting training, and maintaining compliance recordkeeping.

You will report to one of two EHS Managers within a growing structure, with coaching, coverage support, and a clear growth path as the department expands its management layer across locations.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in safety or environmental field; hands-on experience may substitute.
• 1–3+ years of EHS in manufacturing or plant environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping and general safety standards.
• OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections and track corrective actions to closure.
• Respond to incidents and near-misses including investigation, documentation, reporting.
• Deliver or support required safety training and maintain records.
• Maintain EHS compliance documentation under OSHA and env regulations.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response plans.
• Partner with supervisors and hourly employees to promote safe practices.
• Escalate complex issues to the Manager and assist root-cause analysis.
• Provide coverage for other plant locations or shifts during absences.
• Assist with audits led by senior EHS staff.
