Job summary

EnerSys seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety Technician to support workplace safety and regulatory compliance across manufacturing environments. You will assist in implementing safety protocols, conduct inspections, and promote a culture of safety.

Responsibilities include new employee orientations, OSHA/Environmental compliance, incident investigations, and maintaining safety records. This role requires ability to work in a lead-exposed environment and to wear respiratory protection as

Qualifications

  • Two years' experience in manufacturing, industrial safety, or industrial hygiene.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Understanding of algebra, measurements, and calibration techniques.
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • OSHA 30 General Industry within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety orientations for new employees and contractors.
  • Teach EHS classes and assist in safety program development.
  • Perform inspections, audits, and incident investigations per OSHA and environmental standards.
  • Maintain records of inspections, training, and compliance activities.
  • Support EHS training sessions and safety awareness programs.
  • Update safety procedures, policies, and documentation.
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to promote safe work practices.
  • Coordinate and conduct airborne lead monitoring and noise dosimetry.
