Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods USA - Joplin Plant is seeking an EHS Professional II to provide technical environmental, health and safety support across three shifts. You will influence behavior to comply with Ajinomoto safety standards and maintain a safe work environment, under the direction of the Site EHS Manager.

The role requires leading improvements, coaching leaders, conducting hazard identifications, and maintaining EHS records and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, or STEM related discipline preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and health programs, policies, risk identification and control strategies, and federal/state regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of auditing processes (ISO, OSHA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Lead continual improvement in environment, health, and safety.
• Coach department leaders and teams to ensure EHS programs adherence.
• Conduct facility walk arounds to identify hazards.
• Promote safety culture using AJI-SAFE auditing and coaching.
• Assist with development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and records (SDS, LOTO, OSHA reporting).
• Support training, risk assessments, JSAs, LOTO procedures, and site methods.
• Develop and maintain safety-related job descriptions with leaders.
• Assist with injuries and post-accident investigations.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and support BBS programs.
