Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is hiring an EHS Professional II at the Joplin plant to lead environment, health, and safety efforts.

You will oversee programs, ensure compliance with corporate EHS standards, and guide site personnel toward a safe work environment under the direction of the Site EHS Manager. The role emphasizes driving continual improvement, conducting hazard assessments, and coordinating training and incident investigations to support corporate objectives and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or STEM required/preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification or completion preferred.
• Minimum one year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety programs, policies and regulations.
• Auditing processes knowledge (ISO/OSHA) preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion continual EHS improvement at the plant.
• Coach department leaders to adhere to EHS policies.
• Conduct facility walkarounds to identify hazards.
• Assist with administrative programs and records (SDS, LOTO, OSHA reporting).
• Develop site-specific work methods, JSAs, LOTO procedures, risk assessments.
• Assist with injuries and post-accident investigations.
• Support wastewater and stormwater compliance efforts.
• Perform facility inspections and audits per regulations and permits.
• Deliver employee EHS training using company tools.
• Support the site's PSM program and OSHA 300 log maintenance.
• Drive Behavior Based Safety participation and provide data for the monthly Safety Scorecard.
