Dow is seeking an EH&S Technician to join our team in Knoxville, TN. You will share responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate.

You will provide hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (H&S) support for a specific plant/facility. This role requires proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical processes through job-related training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (e.g. EH&S, manufacturing).
• Ability to safely work in a plant environment and use PPE and safety equipment.
• Willing to work with hazardous materials outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift and overtime as required.

Responsabilités

• Implements detailed, task level, day to day EH&S programs using the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
• Ensures Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects are adequate to meet performance goals.
• Acts as Plant resource for EH&S information and serves as plant contact for EH&S issues.
• Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S tasks and activities.
• Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.
• Performs/coordinates Environmental and IH monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting.
