Job summary

The Newell Group is engaged to locate a Plant EHS Manager for a great client in the Western Williamsport Airport Area. This hands-on role leads EHS on the manufacturing floor, guiding compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations while driving continuous improvement with Lean tools.

Ideal candidates will have 5–12 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting, strong regulatory expertise, and the ability to engage employees and work closely with Plant Managers and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in EHS, Environmental, Engineering or related field.
• CSP, CIH, CHMM or similar certification would be a major plus.
• Experience with Lean / Kaizen / 5S / PDCA / RCCM.
• Strong shop-floor presence and employee engagement.
• OSHA + EPA regulatory compliance experience.
• Incident investigation / root cause / corrective action.
• Hazardous waste / air / water / TRI / Tier II.
• PSSR, LOTO, confined space, forklift, HazCom, PPE.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on EHS management on the manufacturing floor.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers and Operations to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental permits, reporting and regulatory compliance.

Plant EHS Manager / EHS & Sustainability Manager who can be highly hands‑on on the manufacturing floor.

• 5–12 years EHS experience
• Strong manufacturing plant background
• OSHA + EPA regulatory expertise
• Environmental compliance experience—not just safety
• Incident investigation / root cause / corrective action
• Industrial hygiene
• Hazardous waste / air / water / TRI / Tier II
• PSSR, LOTO, confined space, forklift, HazCom, PPE
• Experience with Lean / Kaizen / 5S / PDCA / RCCM
• Strong shop-floor presence and employee engagement
• Experience working directly with Plant Managers and Operations
• Bachelor's in EHS, Environmental, Engineering, Safety or related field
