Job summary

Cuisine Solutions Inc. seeks a Plant Director to oversee a manufacturing facility, drive operational excellence, and lead continuous improvement across production, packaging, and quality systems.

You will manage up to 30 salaried and 500 hourly staff, coordinate safety, regulatory audits, ERP use, and collaboration with senior leadership to meet customer requirements and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive leadership experience in manufacturing/plant operations with sous vide.
• Experience with audits (customer, OSHA, SQF) and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility to achieve operational excellence and goals.
• Manage up to 30 salaried and 500 hourly staff.
• Oversee procurement and upkeep of building and equipment.
• Support safety, quality, productivity, and cost initiatives.
• Enforce policies to meet food safety, customer expectations, productivity, and costs.
• Coordinate plant functions toward shared goals.
• Improve plant quality systems and customer satisfaction.
• Respond to delivery changes and special instructions.
• Supervise sanitation staff and coordinate third-party cleaners.
• Use ERP to review records, track material usage, and manage inventory.
• Plan weekly production and schedule labor to meet demand and minimize overtime.
• Collaborate with VP of Operations to assess staffing needs.
• Coordinate hiring/promotions with Human Resources.
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to staff.
• Communicate questions on materials and production to appropriate teams.
• Work with other departments to resolve safety and quality issues.
• Address production problems and equipment failures promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
