The Plant Director is responsible for driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by developing an excellent organization and implementing lean operating methodologies based on Tecomet Business System techniques and tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a culture focused on safety, quality, schedule, and cost with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Strategic planning to ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, EPA, OSHA, and other legal standards.
- Driving rapid, significant, and sustainable improvements in SQDC.
- Leading the development and execution of strategies supporting market-driven business goals.
- Conducting regular KPI reviews to ensure results are met and priorities are addressed promptly.
- Promoting a lean operating system culture, leading initiatives like 5S, SMED, TPM to achieve operational breakthroughs.
- Building, coaching, and maintaining high team morale.
- Ensuring operational metrics and KPIs are tracked and responsive actions are taken.
- Continuously seeking operational efficiencies and cost reductions across labor, overhead, and inventory.
- Allocating resources effectively to meet customer priorities.
- Coordinating with sales, marketing, engineering, and other departments.
- Partnering with management to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Benchmarking and implementing best practices.
- Resolving customer production issues collaboratively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years of manufacturing operations leadership experience.
- Experience in Medical Device manufacturing and machining environments.
- Proven track record in performance improvement through lean culture development.
- Knowledge of standard processes within an integrated operating management system.
- Strong leadership in developing people and teams to foster organizational change.
