Job summary

Prysmian is hiring a Plant Custodian in McKinney, Texas. The role involves cleaning duties across the plant, trash removal, sweeping, and ensuring cleanliness of manufacturing spaces, warehouses, and restrooms.

Starting pay is $16 per hour with a 1 shift differential. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. DEI commitments and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience using cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, cleaning solutions) preferred.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties following department procedures and standards.
• Performs sanitation, sweeping, and waste disposal on production floors.

Position Overview

The Plant Custodian under thedirectionof thePlant Manager,performs a broad range ofcustodian dutiesand manual work in the care and cleaning oftheplant.Duties includedusting and polishing furniture,emptying trash, sweeping, cleaningsurfacesandinspecting cleanliness of buildings.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs cleaning duties while adhering to approved department procedures and standards.
• Performs routine sanitation, sweeping, and waste disposal across production floors.
• Maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and physical safety of manufacturing areas, warehouses, and restrooms.
• Keeps plant buildings and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies, performs preventative maintenance, and maintains cleaning chemicals and consumable inventory.
• May train others and perform related work as assigned.

Qualifications
