Job summary

Prysmian is hiring a Plant Custodian at its McKinney, TX facility. The role involves cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep of production areas under the Plant Manager’s direction. Shifts include afternoon and day options, with a shift differential for certain hours.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to read and write English. A High School diploma or GED is required, and safety protocols must be followed.

Qualifications

• Experience using cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions preferred.

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motion for long periods.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties adhering to department procedures and standards.
• Performs routine sanitation, sweeping, and waste disposal across production floors.
• Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of manufacturing areas, warehouses, and restrooms.
• Keeps plant buildings and property clean and orderly.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Follows procedures for chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage.
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies, performs preventative maintenance, and inventory.

• Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

The Plant Custodian under thedirectionof thePlant Manager,performs a broad rangeofcustodian dutiesand manual work in the care and cleaning oftheplant.Duties includedusting and polishing furniture,emptying trash, sweeping, cleaningsurfacesandinspecting cleanliness of buildings.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs cleaning duties while adhering to approved department procedures and standards.
• Performs routine sanitation, sweeping, and waste disposal across production floors.
• Maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and physical safety of manufacturing areas, warehouses, and restrooms.
• Keeps plant buildings and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies, performs preventative maintenance, and maintains cleaning chemicals and consumable inventory.
• May train others and perform related work as assigned.
