Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Decatur, IL is seeking a Cost Controller / Plant Controller to lead financial management at the Decatur foundry. You will perform month‑end close, profitability analyses, budgeting, and cost control initiatives in collaboration with plant leadership.

Requirements include an undergraduate degree in accounting, business or finance, 3+ years of manufacturing accounting experience (foundry a plus), strong Excel, SAP costing experience, and CPA/CMA is an asset.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, business or finance.
• Minimum of 3+ years accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP ERP and cost accounting.
• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close procedures and internal management reporting.
• Analyze profitability by product, project and customer.
• Lead monthly financial reviews with CFO, VP Controlling and Plant Manager.
• Support cost saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Prepare budgets and monitor actuals vs. budget.
• Manage costing in SAP and review standard costs monthly.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, HR and Sales on costs and overhead.
