Job summary

Fluidstack is building frontier compute infrastructure with off-grid campuses. We seek a controls engineer to own the plant controller, EMS, and dispatch logic across PV, BESS, and gas, scaling from a single block to GW-scale campuses energized in six months.

You will translate control philosophy into operation sequences, perform field commissioning, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure seamless integration. Bonus: RTDS/OPAL-RT and industrial protocols experience.

Qualifications

• Experience owning the plant controller or EMS on utility-scale hybrid plants.
• Ability to ship control software with versioning, testing and release processes.
• Proven on-site commissioning and testing with energized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own the site EMS and plant controller for blocks and campus energy management.
• Develop sequences of operation for source transitions, blackout, islanding and de-energization.
• Lead controls commissioning and tuning in the field with hardware-in-the-loop verification.
