Job summary
Tarkett is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer (Process and Plant) in Chagrin Falls, OH to lead electrical control system design and installation for PVC Flooring Accessory operations. You will partner with multiple departments to eliminate variation, reduce costs, and drive automation upgrades for reliable production.
In this role you will design plant-wide SCADA/MES improvements, develop Allen-Bradley PLC systems, and mentor technicians.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- 3+ years of plant or related experience in process or industrial machinery.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting (PLC-5, RxLinx, RsLogix 500, Studio 5000).
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and control systems.
- Ability to comply with safety standards and work with contractors.
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements plant-wide SCADA and MES improvements with process and quality teams.
- Develops and supports Allen Bradley PLC based control systems and upgrades.
- Designs electrical systems for new equipment including schematics and wiring.
- Configures and trains personnel on VFDs and control systems.
- Troubleshoots machinery, guides maintenance, and develops PLC Ladder Logic.
- Mentor engineers and maintenance staff in automation and controls.
