Job summary

Tarkett seeks an experienced Controls Engineer (Process and Plant) to lead electrical control system design and installation for PVC flooring accessory operations in Ohio. You will support existing equipment, drive upgrades, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and procurement to reduce process variation and drive cost savings.

You will design, troubleshoot, and implement PLC based systems, mentor technicians, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of plant or related field experience.
• Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and control systems.
• Ability to comply with existing safety standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
• Proven capital project leadership and execution.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements plant-wide SCADA and MES improvements with process teams.
• Develops and supports Allen Bradley PLC based control systems and upgrades.
• Designs electrical systems for new equipment including schematics and panels.
• Configures and trains personnel on VFDs and control systems.
• Troubleshoots machinery and guides maintenance to root causes.
• Maintains PLC Ladder Logic and code for Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Mentors engineers and technicians in automation and controls.
• Provides remote troubleshooting across shifts and writes project ROI cases.
