Job summary

CFS is seeking a Plant Controller for a rapidly growing manufacturing operation in Wisconsin. This leadership role reports to senior finance leadership and partners with plant operations to drive profitability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include managing month-end close, budgeting, cost analysis, inventory controls, and internal controls while mentoring the finance team. Public company exposure is a plus as the organization scales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience in manufacturing environment.
• Publicly traded experience would be nice to see.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Partner with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, inventory, and plant performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cycle count programs, and physical inventory processes.
• Monitor standard costs and support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff within the facility.
