Job summary

You will mentor the Accounting team, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to plant leadership, shaping cost management, cash flow, and capital investment decisions for a complex manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of Controller or Plant Controller experience in manufacturing.
• Financial leadership experience in a complex manufacturing operation.
• Expertise in manufacturing accounting, standard costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Experience partnering with manufacturing operations to improve financial and operational performance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, capital expenditures, cost accounting, and internal controls.
• Proven leadership in managing and developing accounting or finance teams.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• High professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and costing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and analyses.
• Develop the annual operating budget, business plan, and forecasts.
• Partner with Plant Leadership to provide financial guidance for strategic decisions.
• Analyze plant performance, costs, and results to identify improvements.
• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost control processes.
• Monitor expenses and drive profitability and cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with GAAP compliance.
• Oversee physical inventory processes and controls.
• Prepare analyses and business cases for capital investments.
• Optimize plant cash flow and working capital management.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop the Accounting team; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Support Quality and MMS by ensuring financial compliance.
