Job summary

Talent With Heart in Lake Forest, IL seeks an experienced Plant Controller to partner with operations and lead the plant's financial direction. You will oversee all financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, capital planning, and inventory controls.

You will lead and develop the Accounting team, drive profitability, cost control, and sound financial decision-making across a complex manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 7-10 years of Controller or Plant Controller experience in manufacturing is required.
• Financial leadership experience in a complex manufacturing operation is required.
• Strong background in manufacturing accounting, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations for the manufacturing facility and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Develop the annual operating budget, business plan, and financial forecasts; monitor performance against goals.
• Partner with Plant Leadership to provide financial guidance for strategic and operational decisions.
• Analyze plant performance, costs, and results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Oversee standard costing, product costing, inventory valuation, and cost control processes.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Manage physical inventory processes and inventory accounting controls.
• Prepare analyses and business cases for capital investments and major initiatives.
• Optimize cash flow through planning and working capital management.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with financial controls and regulatory requirements.
