Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks a Finance Manager - Manufacturing for its EP Russelectric plant in Hingham, MA, with hybrid onsite 3 days/week. You will lead finance activities, ensure accuracy of reporting, drive internal controls, and collaborate with operations to improve profitability.

The role reports to Head of Operations Finance NA and requires strong SAP FI/CO expertise, budgeting, forecasting, and leadership experience. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Finance, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO.
• Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI and Knime is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the leadership team and partner to operations while managing commercial activities and drive plant profitability.
• Define long-term strategic targets and break them into achievable short-term objectives.
• Own planning, controlling, accounting and reporting activities including EVA, Gross Profit, Investments, NWC.
• Manage month-end close including journal entries for revenue and cost accruals; analyze deviations and present findings to senior management.
• Oversee CAPEX projects from concept to capitalization and assess financial benefits.
• Ensure adherence to standard processes and internal controls; drive process improvements and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with Procurement, IE and Operations to improve productivity and evaluate make-vs-buy opportunities.
• Drive working capital improvements through inventory management and collaboration with Supply Chain.

Join our Smart Infrastructure (SI) team as ourPlant Controller – Manufacturing to help us provide valuable and outstanding business services to our customers! The successful candidate will add value by ensuring the commercial success of the plant, driving financial accuracy and integrity, actively engaging in design, implementation and adherence to internal controls, reporting, analysis, planning, forecasting, monitoring and adherence to KPI’s ofthe Electrical Products Products (EP) Russelectric Manufacturing Plant located in Hingham, MA. This role will be a hybrid role and requires onsite presence 3 days a week.

You will make an impact:

This position will report to the Head of Operations Finance NA and will interact on a regular basis with business segment as well as operational senior management:

• Be part of the leadership team and commercial partner to operations while managing commercial activities and drive commercial success of the plant.
• Help define long term strategic targets and drive implementation by breaking them into achievable short-term objectives in a highly dynamic environment.
• Own aspects of planning, controlling, accounting and reporting activities of the plant including EVA, Gross Profit, Investments, NWC
• Manage the month-end closing process including preparation of journal entries for revenue and cost accruals. Analyze results and investigate deviations in detail including any corrective actions. Summarize findings and present to senior management.
• Manage CAPEX projects (partly driven by expansion projects) from conceptualization, approvals, PO, delivery, payment, and capitalization while also evaluating the financial benefits of such projects.
• Manage adherence to standard processes and procedures that ensures clean books and records
• Innovate by standardizing and digitalizing existing processes and identify opportunities to develop new KPI’s or reporting that adds business value.
• Own, ensure and improve internal controls, efficiency and FC accuracy.
• Partner with Procurement, Industrial Engineering, and Operations teams to identify and execute productivity improvement initiatives, evaluate make-versus-buy opportunities, and develop financial business cases for outsourcing projects that enhance manufacturing efficiency, capacity utilization, cost competitiveness, and plant profitability.
• Drive working capital improvements through active management of inventory levels, inventory accuracy, excess and obsolete inventory reduction, and collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations teams.
• Develop and coach finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.

Basic Qualification:

• BS in Accounting, Finance.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Finance, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment
• In depth knowledge of SAP (FI/CO).
• Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI and Knime is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting process.
• Experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor developing and leading teams/individuals.

The pay range for this position is $135,303 - $231,948 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
