Job summary

Tyson Foods in Council Bluffs, IA seeks a Plant Controller to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the plant manufacturing unit. You will manage the plant accounting staff, oversee production accounting and payroll, and drive cost-saving initiatives with the operations team.

The role partners with operations to improve performance, build a world-class accounting team, and ensure SOX compliance. Requires 4+ years of supervisory finance experience and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA/MA and/or CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience in Finance/cost accounting; GAAP knowledge essential.
• Knowledge of standard cost and variance reporting; understanding procurement, production, and finished goods profitability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost accounting and financial analysis systems for the plant.
• Ensure accuracy of production costs, packaging, labor, and overhead.
• Manage payroll and internal accounting controls.
• Provide regular financial reporting and forecasting.
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan and budgeting process.
