Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. seeks a Plant Controller for the Prepared Foods division to oversee cost accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for the plant-manufacturing unit.

You will lead payroll and accounting staff, drive weekly forecasts of variances, and partner with operations to improve total cost of operations. Responsibilities include establishing guidelines, ensuring internal controls, coordinating audits, and supporting Lean and safety initiatives in a dynamic food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CMA/CPA/MBA a plus.
• 4+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing with cost and variance reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting and financial analysis for the plant.
• Manage payroll and plant accounting staff; ensure internal controls.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting and AOP/LRP processes.
• Provide financial reporting and variance analyses for management.
