Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Controller for the Souderton plant in Souderton, Pennsylvania. This role leads the accounting team and owns all financial controls at the plant, contributing to overall plant success and continuous procedural improvements.

Responsibilities include managing payables, invoicing, budgets, inventory reconciliation, weekly P&L, variance analysis, capital spending, and broader monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 5 years accounting experience or equivalent knowledge & ability.
• Computer skills and good people skills a must.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant accounting team and implement techniques to improve productivity and controls.
• Manage all plant accounting functions: payables, invoicing, budgets, expense reporting, inventory reconciliation, weekly P&L, variance analysis, capital spending and payback analysis, and other reports.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to manage supply, inventories, PO processing and cost saving initiatives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements accurately and timely.
• Ensure Sox controls compliance at the plant.
• Provide financial expertise to plant management and identify profitability insights.
• Work with cross-functional teams to problem solve and establish procedures and action plans.

The JBS Beef USA team is seeking a Controller for our Souderton plant.

This role will lead the accounting team at the plant. The controller is responsible for all financial controls at the plant, as well as contributing to the success of the plant and continuous improvement of procedures.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the accounting team at the plant. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies and ensure effective controls.
• Responsible for all accounting functions at the plant - these include payables, invoicing , budgets, expense reporting, inventory reconciliation, weekly P&L reporting, variance analysis, capital spending and payback analysis, as well as other numerous daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
• Work with Purchasing manager in all purchasing functions at the plant – these include maintaining and controlling appropriate supply, MRO and packaging inventories, PO processing, driving cost savings initiatives, and all other purchasing responsibilities.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financials and associated requirements accurately and timely
• Ensure the plant is compliant in all Sox controls.
• Provide financial expertise to the general manager and plant management team – provide insights into profitability.
• Collaborate with cross functional departments to problem solve and establish procedures and action plans to achieve targeted results.
