Job summary

Educated Solutions Corp in Maxton, NC (also at Lancaster, SC and PA facilities) seeks a full-time Plant Controller to own the plant's financial leadership.

You will lead all accounting functions, cost accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with operations to improve performance. You’ll oversee inventory, costing, BOMs, and participate in production meetings while guiding front-office staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years of hands on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience with JD Edwards Enterprise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to create and modify complex spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Oversee physical inventory accuracy, lead monthly audits, maintain and reconcile perpetual inventory, and analyze excess/obsolete items.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and report monthly financial results, forecasts, and strategic plans in alignment with corporate standards and timelines.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to SOX internal controls, safeguard assets, and resolve control-related issues with the corporate finance team.
• Costing & Materials: Develop and maintain standard costs and bills of materials; monitor production and costing issues through plant walkthroughs.
• Operational Support: Participate in daily/weekly production meetings and review labor, materials, overhead, distribution costs, and inventory levels.
• Team Leadership: Manage front office staff and support operational efficiency.

ESC has exciting opportunities for full-time Plant Controllers at manufacturing facilities in Maxton, NC, Lancaster, SC and in Pennsylvania. Are you ready to take ownership of financial leadership at the plant level? If so, we are seeking a full-time Plant Controller at each of these locations to serve as the strategic partner driving operational success at the dedicated facility.

As the Plant Controller, you’ll be the financial backbone of the plant, responsible for:

• Leading all accounting functions, including cost accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity
• Collaborating closely with operations to optimize performance and profitability
