Job summary

Graham Packaging’s Lee’s Summit facility seeks a proactive Plant Controller to partner with operations, establish financial controls, and drive performance from the ground up. This role focuses on building robust financial processes, providing insights, and aligning plant activities with corporate goals.

You will lead the monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while optimizing cost accounting, inventory management, and capital decisions in a startup-style manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial close and timely reporting of plant results.
• Analyze operating results and communicate drivers, risks, opportunities to leadership.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-range projections.
• Drive cost savings, inventory control, and capital project ROI.
• Partner with plant leadership to optimize profitability and productivity.
• Develop training to improve cost awareness and financial discipline.
