Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Controller I to lead cost accounting, financial analysis, and payroll for the plant-manufacturing unit. You will drive weekly forecasts, budgets, and cost controls while collaborating with operations for continuous improvements and cost reductions.

The role requires a strong background in GAAP, cost accounting, and supervisory experience in manufacturing, with a focus on plant performance reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; finance or accounting highly preferred.
• CMA, MBA and/or CPA would be a plus.
• Finance and/or Cost Accounting experience; preferably in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities related to maintaining cost accounting and financial analysis systems.
• Oversee payroll administration and internal controls; ensure accuracy of product and production costs.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for the plant operations.
• Collaborate with plant operations on continuous improvements to reduce total cost of operations.
• Provide credible financial analysis to support plant operations and Lean initiatives.
