Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Controller II for the Prepared Foods plant to oversee cost accounting, financial analysis, and payroll. You will manage forecasting, budgets, and internal controls while partnering with operations to drive cost reductions.

The role requires a strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting, along with leadership and cross-functional collaboration across departments including headquarters, maintenance, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; CMA/MBA/CPA would be a plus.
• 6+ years of accounting management experience; manufacturing setting preferred with standard cost/variance knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• GAAP, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Payroll, and SOX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost accounting and financial analysis systems; ensure product and production costs are accurate.
• Provide direction for internal and external financial reporting and forecasting.
• Lead planning: AOP, LRP, and budget development; establish SOX controls.
