Job summary

Tyson Foods in Sherman, TX seeks a Plant Controller to lead financial planning, analysis and reporting for the plant manufacturing unit. You will supervise the plant accounting staff, oversee production accounting and payroll, and drive forecasts and budgeting.

You’ll partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities, build a world-class accounting team, and ensure SOX compliance across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• MBA/MA and/or CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience in Finance and/or cost accounting.
• Strong GAAP, cost accounting, and SOX/internal controls understanding.
• Knowledge of procurement, production, and finished goods profitability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost accounting and financial analysis systems for the plant.
• Ensure accuracy of production costs, packaging, labor, and overhead.
• Manage payroll systems, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan and weekly/monthly forecasts; drive budgeting.
