Job summary

Printpack is seeking a Plant Controller for the Converting plant in Villa Rica, GA. This onsite finance leader will oversee plant accounting, cost accounting, inventories, and financial reporting to support manufacturing decisions.

Key duties include month-end close, budgeting, internal controls, and partnering with operations to drive improvements in cost and profitability. Onsite role with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Public Accounting (Audit) / Manufacturing background.
• Experience with large ERP systems; JD Edwards experience a plus.
• Solid cost accounting experience with complex product lines.
• CPA, MBA, MACC are a plus.
• Proven track record of leading and influencing others.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite in the Villa Rica 1 facility.
• Proactively manage plant accounting functions, including oversight of accounting personnel, inventory valuations, manufacturing cost accounting, reporting/analysis, and forecasting/budgeting.
• Protect plant assets through the development and monitoring of internal controls.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of inventory and operational performance standards.
• Manage the monthly financial closing process, preparation and review of financial statements, and analysis of variances vs. forecast, standard, and budget.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, inventories, and customer/product profitability reporting.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions regarding investments in capital equipment and plant process improvements.
• Exhibit strong working knowledge of financial concepts, operational systems, and analytical tools.
• Demonstrate strong leadership presence in production and business decision-making, along with the ability to positively influence and interpret operational results.
• Effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions of the organization.
