Job summary

Parcc Associates is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller to lead the accounting and financial activities of our Texas manufacturing facility. The role partners with plant operations and corporate leadership to manage cost accounting, inventory, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Candidates should have direct experience supporting manufacturing operations, and hands-on cost accounting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cost-accounting experience is mandatory.
• Direct experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Experience with standard costs, inventory valuation, BOM, routings, overhead allocation, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with an ERP or manufacturing accounting system.
• Ability to work on-site at the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the plant’s standard-cost accounting system.
• Oversee product costing, bills of material, labor routings, overhead rates, and standard-cost updates.
• Analyze variances in material usage, labor, yield, scrap, and overhead absorption.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and prepare financial schedules.
• Coordinate the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range projections.
• Lead plant performance reporting for labor, materials, yield, downtime, and productivity.
• Partner with operations to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Maintain internal controls over inventory and manufacturing expenditures.
