Job summary

Parcc Associates in Longview, TX seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to own plant cost accounting, inventory and manufacturing performance analysis, partnering with Operations and Engineering.

You will maintain standard costs, BOMs, WIP, and variances, support month-end close, and help drive pricing decisions and cost improvements.

This hands-on role requires manufacturing cost‑accounting experience and the ability to translate shop-floor activity into financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Hands-on manufacturing cost-accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, and inventory accounting.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve standard costs for materials, labor, overhead, and products.
• Perform product cost roll-ups and support new-product costing.
• Maintain and analyze BOMs, routings, labor standards, overhead rates, and work-center costs.
• Manage inventory for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; perform valuation and reconciliations.
• Support month-end close, including variances in COGS, WIP, and overhead.
• Develop forecasts and analyses to support pricing and make-vs-buy decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Plant Leadership.
