Ready Foods, a Denver-based food manufacturer, seeks an experienced Plant Controller to partner with manufacturing operations and drive plant-level financial performance.

The role leads budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, inventory and variance analysis, linking financial results to operating drivers and providing actionable insights for leadership on cost reduction and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressive finance or accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, standard costing, inventory, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to investigate variances and connect results to operations.
• Experience partnering with plant leadership in a hands-on environment.
• Clear communication, curiosity and a practical, hands-on working style.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Finance partner to plant leadership and translate activity into financial insight.
• Spend time on the plant floor to understand product making and driver impact on costs.
• Lead plant budgeting, forecasting, analysis and performance reporting.
• Own and explain plant P&L by linking financial results to operating drivers.
• Lead standard-cost and manufacturing-variance analysis across materials, labor, overhead and yield.
• Partner with Operations to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Oversee inventory valuation, controls, counts and variance reconciliation.
• Strengthen BOM, routing, labor and overhead assumptions for product costing.
• Support capital expenditure analysis and post-investment reviews.
• Assist month-end close, reconciliations and internal controls for plant ops.
• Develop plant scorecards, KPIs and reporting to aid decision making.
• Use ERP and BI data to improve visibility and reduce manual work.
