You will work hands-on with plant leadership, develop budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and drive cost improvements while maintaining strong internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong manufacturing cost accounting experience with standard costing and variances.
• Demonstrated FP&A experience including budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant FP&A activities: budgeting, forecasting, modeling and analysis.
• Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and cost plans.
• Analyze results vs. budgets, identify variances and drivers.
• Maintain manufacturing standard costs, labor rates and overheads.
• Evaluate production costs and inventory valuation.
• Partner with plant leadership to review results and cost improvements.
• Prepare financial reporting to support decisions.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations and controls.
• Support inventories, audits and reporting process improvements.

Plant Controller – Near Nashua, NH

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is working with an established, privately held manufacturing company near Nashua, NH seeking a Plant Controller with a strong background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and manufacturing cost accounting. This is a hands‑on position offering significant interaction with plant leadership, responsibility for financial planning and cost analysis, and the opportunity to influence operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and performance analysis.
• Develop annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts and cost plans.
• Analyze financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, trends and key business drivers.
• Maintain and analyze manufacturing standard costs, including labor rates, overhead absorption, work center rates and product costing.
• Evaluate production costs, material usage, manufacturing variances and inventory valuation.
• Partner directly with plant leadership to review operating results, profitability and opportunities for cost improvements.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Manage month‑end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Support physical inventories, audits and improvements to accounting and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong manufacturing cost accounting experience, including standard costing, inventory valuation and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Experience working directly with plant operations and manufacturing leadership.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems..
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.

Compensation: $120K–$145K base salary plus bonus and excellent benefits.
