Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Plant Controller for the Atlanta Plant to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting in a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with the Plant Leader to optimize operations planning, drive productivity, and ensure strong internal controls while guiding a three-person team covering purchasing, raw materials, and shipping.

Ideal candidates hold a finance/accounting degree with ERP experience and prefer MBA/CMA/CPA credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a relevant discipline (MBA, CMA, CPA preferred).
• Able to manage competing priorities in a matrixed organization.
• ERP experience.
• Desire to lead in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to drive transparency and informed decisions.
• Collaborate with Plant Leader to drive operations planning and plant processes.
• Oversee purchasing, raw materials, shipping/transportation and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance and internal controls are effective and observed.
• Maintain safety standards as a priority across plant activities.
• Lead a team of 3 direct reports in purchasing, raw materials, and logistics.

About Atlanta Roofing

The Atlanta Plant is a part of the OC Roofing Business Segment.

The Plant began operations as part of Owens Corning Roofing equipment and supplies manufacturing network in 2006.

The Plant operates 24/7 with over 120 hourly and salaried positions.

The facility, along with sister facilities in Jacksonville and Savannah, manufactures almost all shingles sold by OC in the Southeast region of the United States.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As the Atlanta Plant Controller, you will be primarily responsible for:

Living the safety stance while adhering to all safety standards and responsibilities.

Ensuring the proper existence of and adherence to compliance and internal controls.

Partnering with Plant Leader to lead operations planning and plant processes.

Conducting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to create financial transparency and encourage effective decision-making.

Actively leading and contributing within a cross-functional leadership team.

Driving plant productivity.

Leading a team of 3 direct reports in purchasing, buying, raw materials, and shipping/transportation.
