Job summary

Jobot in Anderson, IN, is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and ERP implementations. The role drives monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and financial planning in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA or Master’s desirable), with 5+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing role.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting, monthly reporting, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, and ERP implementation.
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership qualities and decision-making ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present financial data to non-financial managers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial information is provided to management.
2. Managing all aspects of manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting and fixed asset accounting.
3. Implementing and maintaining ERP systems to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
4. Developing and maintaining internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
5. Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning.
6. Analyzing financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
7. Collaborating with management on the development and execution of strategic plans.
8. Leading financial audits and providing recommendations for procedural improvements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector
3. Proven experience in manufacturing accounting, monthly reporting, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, and ERP implementation.
