Job summary

Mondi plc in the United States is seeking a Plant Continuous Improvement Manager to lead cross‑functional lean initiatives across production, quality and maintenance. You will establish standard ways of working, drive daily management, and coach teams to deliver measurable productivity gains.

The role emphasizes hands‑on problem solving, training in CI tools (5S, kaizen, OEE) and building internal capability while promoting safety and quality improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in engineering, statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years applying lean methods (A3, 5S, Kaizen, OEE, PSM, etc.).
• Experience in project management.
• Strong presentation and communication skills across cultures.
• Proven leadership to manage cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred; Spanish bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead CI initiatives across Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
• Establish standard daily management systems and training plans.
• Manage CI projects end-to-end with clear scope, timing, budget.
• Ensure sustainability by communicating progress to plant leadership.
• Develop standards, templates, and SOPs with departments.
• Share best practices across the plant and organization.
• Coach teams on CI principles and change management.
• Onboard new employees to CI principles in production and office.
